Irritable Life Syndrome - Getting to know yourself

By Paul Lubicz "The Wellbeing Manager"

The Starting Point!

This is the most important thing of all. Your relationship with yourself! Once you have that in place and working well, everything (and everyone) else will click into place.

Be who you wish to be

Whenever you find yourself contemplating the idea of becoming, stop and repeat the phrase, "I do not need to become, I will be this person beginning right now." You have the power to choose to be happy and healthy. So start right now - and begin by having more fun!

Worry

Solve the problem. It's a waste of time wibbling about the fact that you have a problem. Instead - decide on a solution and try it. Don't put off til tomorrow what can be done today (otherwise just imagine the pile of things tomorrow is going to have on its plate!). Solve the problem whenever problems arise, concentrate on solutions. If you've got a problem at work - talk to your boss about it. If there are bills to pay - address them, and if your bathroom cupboard needs a good clearout - get on with it (will you ever dare use that bottle of fake tan from 1995?) Sweeping a worry under the carpet won't make it go away - it might be hidden, but lift up the carpet and it's still there, festering away. Next thing you know you are walking around with 20 things that are unresolved. Before you know it they start to weigh you down and drain your energy.
