New and Different is the Answer

The key to being consistent with any exercise and lifestyle program is finding an activity, or range of activities, that you enjoy. Not everyone sees exercise as fun and the gym definitely isn’t always the answer!

Change your workouts regularly

Doing something you find boring just because it's good for you is very difficult to sustain. But you can take steps to make it more enjoyable.

To get results or meet your goals, a successful strategy is to challenge your body. That doesn't always mean going faster or longer, having a shorter rest between sets, adding weight, or reps and sets to each workout. Finding new and different activities to keep from hitting plateaus or getting bored is a valuable lesson to keep things fresh and new and to continue to get those results you are after.

Try Something Different

Getting new experiences through sports or activities that you have never tried is a fantastic strategy. And if possible when you find an activity you like, try exercising with a friend! Activities that you can do as a family or with friends can help with motivation.

Perhaps try activities to music, such as funk or street classes or, something different like pole dancing or indoor rock climbing! If you vary your activities you will enjoy your exercise program and gain many differing benefits from a variety of exercises and best of all never get bored.

Do it Outdoors

Getting outdoors really helps reduce stress and adds another alternative which is the perfect answer for breaking up your training routine! There is nothing like exercising in beautiful scenery, such as on a beach or in the park.
